Our church BETHEL is a young church whose members are mostly young Christian in faith.
We have two structures which provide biblical teaching to children and young people according to their age and their spiritual needs.
1. From Sunday School (EDD)
Framed by three monitors, the EDD includes 2 levels :
- Small class that welcomes children aged between 4 and 7 years.
- The average or pre teens class that welcomes children aged between 8 and 11/12 years according to their spiritual maturity and their spirit.
2. Group Of Young (GDJ)
Framed by a manager and monitor, the GDJ receives teenagers, in a general way, from 13 years.
God offers you its hand
"Then said the LORD unto me : Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine." (Hosea 3.1)
By asking Hosea to marry a prostitute, the LORD made a symbol of that prophet. By his example, GOD showed that he was looking for a true love relationship with his people. He wanted their hearts. He wanted them to give themselves to it voluntarily. And he was grieved because they have turned to other gods.
I assure you, our lives change when we enter this relationship of love.
But whatever they did, GOD continued to love them. He redeemed them so they no longer need to engage in prostitution, but could enter into a new relationship with him. They would eventually understand how much he loved them. How much they needed him and how he wanted them to come back to him.
This is because He loves us that GOD continues to stretch our hand. At any man! Even those who reject and deny. It is because of his love that forgives our sins. It puts us on the right path when we make mistakes. It forms us and resumes us. What for ? Because "GOD so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3.16).
I assure you, our lives change when we enter this relationship of love. Love becomes our motivation. It inspires us and transforms our attitude.
Today, think about lessons you can learn from the life of Hosea. Stop and consider how much GOD loves you. Forget all the other distractions and attractions, and find your first love for him. Today and every day. Let this love transform your life. Release you from the fear. Give you the right incentives. Open your eyes to the spiritual truths. Make you want to reach out to others, to be his witness, to show everyone - believer and non-believer - the love of Christ.
